The Rooms Rules
- Possession, use, or sale of alcohol, illegal drugs, weapons, or contraband is strictly prohibited.
- Smoking is not allowed in the rooms or common areas. Smoking is allowed inside the facility only in the designated area (Just For Today Room). Smoking outside the facility is allowed with the proper disposal of waste.
- All activities, including regularly scheduled meetings, set-up, and clean-up must be completed within the allotted time frame.
- Groups must clean up after every scheduled meeting. Individuals or groups must discard trash in the designated trash receptacles.
- Each group is responsible for table and chair set-up and breakdown. Chairs are to be stacked against the wall once your group has been completed.
- Each meeting/group is responsible to ensure that the maximum capacity of the room is not exceeded.
- Maximum capacity is posted inside each room.
- Defacing, damaging, or destroying property of the Foundation for Recovery/The Rooms, its members, or visitors is strictly prohibited. Tacks, nails, or tape are not to be used on the furniture, walls, or woodwork.
- Doorways and exits must be accessible at all times. No equipment or decorations shall obstruct doorways.
- Noise must not interfere with other users of the building. Loitering, congregating, or obstructing any of the surrounding business store fronts is prohibited.
- Sleeping inside or outside the facility of the Foundation for Recovery/The Rooms and/or any of the neighboring businesses is prohibited.
- No pets or animals shall be allowed on the premises without written consent from the Foundation for Recovery/The Rooms.
- Physical or verbal threats or harassment of any person, including acts that may endanger others, is expressly prohibited and can result in termination of Rental Agreement. This includes explicit and/or obscene language or gestures toward a person’s ethnicity, religion, age, race or sexual preference.
- Individuals are prohibited from engaging in sexual behavior on Foundation property, in the parking lot or any other common area.
- Solicitation (other than that which occurs within the autonomy of each twelve-step group, i.e. seventh tradition collections), including asking for money, contributions, or donations is strictly prohibited unless such activity has been approved in writing by the Foundation for Recovery.
- A responsible adult, 21years or older, must sign a Rental Agreement before any group will be permitted to use the premises.
- No unsupervised children shall be permitted in the facility.
- The individual signing this Rental Agreement and rules stated herein is responsible for adherence to these rules.
- Individuals and/or groups are financially responsible for any repair and/or replacement should any injury, damage, or losses occur. Any injury, damage, or losses should be reported immediately to the Foundation for Recovery/The Rooms.
- Groups renting these facilities shall be required to pay a deposit equal to fifty percent (50%) of the total monthly rent fees at time of execution.
- Monthly Rent is due by all groups by the third (3rd) day of each month.
- Notice of cancellations must be received in writing by the Foundation within seven (7) days prior to the event or meeting. Groups that have reserved rooms on multiple dates may face a cancellation fee of fifty percent (50%) of contracted rental fees for each date and room reserved.
- Deposits shall be refunded provided that no damage occurred or additional maintenance is necessary.
- Damages are not limited to the deposit amount. The Foundation for Recovery will determine damages or additional maintenance.
- Groups shall not use the premises for any purpose other than the one described in the Rental Agreement. Renters must first acquire the written consent of the Foundation in order to change their use.
- Renters will conduct activities so as not to endanger or to cause harm or damage to any person or property. If required by the Foundation, Renter shall be responsible for obtaining liability insurance.
- Renter agrees to not remove any property from the facility.
- Rental groups that are selling items must obtain any necessary business licenses required by the State of Nevada, City of Las Vegas, or Clark County.
- All groups will be entitled to the use of one (1) locker as part of their monthly rent. Groups must use the lock provided by the Foundation. In the event the locker or lock does not function properly, Renter shall notify the Foundation immediately. By signing the attached Rental Agreement, Renter allows the Foundation for Recovery to enter Renter’s assigned locker at any time as seen fit.
- Groups may purchase twelve-step literature from the Foundation for Recovery. Order forms and more information are available from the Retail Operations Coordinator.
- All groups and renters acknowledge they have no affiliation with the Foundation for Recovery other than as Leasee/Leasor. The Foundation for Recovery has no responsibility or liability for conduct, content, operation, or any aspect of the groups activities.
- The Foundation for Recovery may modify the above rules at any time.
Any violation of the above stated Rules and Regulations will be reviewed by the Management of The Rooms and appropriate action will be taken.
